A’s Las Vegas Ballpark
Major League Baseball comes to Vegas in a domed stadium with views of the Strip through one of the world’s largest cable-net glass facades.
overview
The Athletics are planning a new 33,000-seat ballpark at the south end of the Las Vegas Strip. Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group and HNTB with structural design by Thornton Tomasetti, the domed stadium features split upper and lower seating bowls to provide clear sight lines and bring fans closer to the field. Formed by five curved metal panels resembling baseball pennants, the roof structure responds to the local climate, providing passive shading while admitting natural light.
In addition to structural design, we are providing construction and façade engineering as well as waterproofing and façade access services. The project is scheduled to open at the start of the 2028 baseball season.
highlights
- The long-span roof’s five overlapping pennants are supported on 700-foot span arch trusses, and one of the world’s largest cable-net glass façades in the park’s outfield will provide expansive views of the Strip.
- The venue will include an 18,000-square-foot jumbotron, one of the largest in the MLB.
