Overview

With its expansive parks, nearby beaches and bike paths, The Park Ward Village master-planned community appeals to those who value health and wellness while enjoying a blend of urban and island living. The complex will eventually comprise 16 towers, including a 41-story residential building.

We provided structural engineering services to Solomon Cordwell Buenz for the one-million-square-foot residential development. This building will include 629,000 square feet of residential space, 54,500 square feet of commercial space and 340,500 square feet of parking. The eighth floor will feature an extensive amenity deck, which will include a tennis court, swimming pools, landscaped lawns, barbecue grilling stations and a fitness center.

Highlights

  • To provide structural efficiency, the parking areas are supported by long-span post-tensioned concrete beams, while the residential areas are constructed with post-tensioned flat plate slabs.
  • The lateral system for the project consists of concrete shear walls.
