Thomas Duffy has more than 30 years of experience in the analysis, design, construction and inspection of fixed and kinetic structures of various types, including retractable roofs and operable walls for professional sports facilities, movable bridges, entertainment features and specialty security applications. Tom is proficient in planning and design, condition assessments, forensic investigations and the management of multidisciplinary projects for both public and private sector clients. He has a working knowledge of mechanical systems (electro-mechanical and hydraulic), electrical systems (power and control) and geotechnical and seismic engineering. His work includes the operable doors at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, The Shed moveable arts space at Manhattan’s Hudson Yards and Tilt 360 Chicago, the movable viewing platform at the John Hancock Center in Illinois.
