Milwaukee Business Journal: Ascent Reaches Record-Setting Height

"The project team behind the Ascent apartment tower in downtown Milwaukee on Friday celebrated the lifting of the 3,743rd, and final, structural piece, bringing the building to its world record-setting, 284-foot apex."

Thornton Tomasetti is providing structural design services to Korb & Associates Architects for the building, which will open in 2022. We are also leading the mass timber design program, including providing inspections of the mass timber system and working with the USDA's Forest Products Laboratory to complete the world's first three-hour column fire testing program for glulam columns.
