Overview
The collaboration between Texas Health and UT Southwestern Medical Center combines the strengths of the area’s top two health care systems to create a new 20-acre medical and hospital campus to serve the growing community. The campus includes an acute care hospital and multi-specialty clinic complex to offer comprehensive health care and enhance the patient experience.
We provided structural design to HKS for both buildings, which was completed in 2019.
Highlights
- The eight-story, 325,000-square-foot hospital features 80 beds (with the ability to expand to 140 beds), surgical services, emergency department, women’s services and a neonatal intensive care unit.
- The 120,000-square-foot UT Southwestern Medical Center houses primary care practices as well as a multi-specialty clinic featuring neurology, spine surgery and a state-of-the-art concussion rehabilitation facility.
- 10.75"x 48" glulam V-columns support the breezeway canopy between the hospital and medical center.
