Northeastern University, Kennedy Hall Renovation
We are providing visual façade condition assessment of two Northeastern University buildings to evaluate maintenance-related items that require immediate attention.
Overview
Situated on the same block in Boston, Northeastern University's Kennedy Hall is a 5-story, suite-style residence hall and the Asian American Center supports the development and enhancement of the University’s commitment to the Asian American community.
We are providing ongoing façade renewal services to SGA for both buildings.
Highlights
- Our first phase was a visual façade condition assessment of the buildings from sidewalks and roofs. The intent of the visual assessment was to evaluate maintenance-related items that require immediate attention and to verify if foundation settlement is adversely affecting the façade. The assessment report included detailed descriptions of façade observations, conclusions drawn from observations and detailed recommendations to assist the owner in making short and longterm decisions about façade maintenance and repair issues.
- The second phase will expand the first phase's visual examination to a hands-on survey that will include destructive probes to verify subsurface conditions at localized areas.
