American Express Regional Headquarters
The 40-acre campus consolidates operations for nearly 3,000 employees in a new naturally-lit space designed for collaboration and employee health.
Overview
Financial services giant American Express has operated out of South Florida for decades but had thousands of employees spread out in five locations. Their new 443,000-square-foot regional headquarters unites their customer care, technology, finance and marketing departments in a collaborative, naturally-lit environment. The campus centers around two three-story glass office buildings connected by an atrium and includes amenities such as an exercise center, a cafeteria, a daycare center and outside paths for biking and walking.
We provided structural design services to Perkins+Will for the 40-acre facility, which achieved LEED Gold certification and opened in 2017.
