overview
A new 10-story building in Philadelphia, 2100 Hamilton offers 27 luxury residences with oversized balconies and retractable sliding doors that frame city views. It features a garden—which serves an extension of the gardens of the Rodin Museum next door and is the city’s largest private residential garden—that offers an urban respite with a wood pergola, outdoor furnishings, waterfall, reflecting pool and seasonal plantings. Other amenities include an indoor infinity pool, single-access elevators, fitness center, hospitality suite and event center.
We provided structural design services to CBP Architects for the 140,000-square-foot mid-rise residential building with below-grade parking.
highlights
- The site is traversed by multiple easements, serving as a parking space for the neighboring police station.
- The building is supported via cast-in-place concrete systems, while the floor structures utilize Filigree slab construction, an innovative stay-in-place precast forming system by Mid-State Filigree Systems, Inc.
- We designed a cover over the existing parking area to accommodate landscaping elements.
