Located in Potomac, Maryland on nearly 200 acres, the Glenstone Foundation has secured MGAC to manage the design, planning, and construction of their new expansion project. The new museum building, designed by Thomas Phifer and Partners, will add 50,000 SF of galleries, 30,000 SF of art storage, office space, and a unique water courtyard feature. The program includes a separate café building, arrival gallery, and multiple support buildings. The landscape, designed by Peter Walker Landscape…

The new museum building, designed by Thomas Phifer and Partners, will add 50,000 SF of galleries, 30,000 SF of art storage, office space, and a unique water courtyard feature. The program includes a separate café building, arrival gallery, and multiple support buildings. The landscape, designed by Peter Walker Landscape Architecture and Partners, will feature three parking groves, new monumental sculptures, and over 4,500 new trees across the property.
In addition to managing the design and construction team, MGAC is providing overall project and schedule management, cost and risk management services including budgeting, reporting, and oversight of legal entitlements, as well as the development of procurement strategies.
