As a member of the Oakland Softball team I was a part in "adopting" a little girl, Jenna, with terminal brain cancer. We took her in as one of our own and lifted her spirits in some of her last days. She died on July 4, 2010 at the age of 12, but her legacy lives on today. An organization was started while she was alive called Believe in Miracles. It is a non-profit organization that raises money to help kids in their final days. They grant one wish for them in order to lift their spirits and…

It is a non-profit organization that raises money to help kids in their final days. They grant one wish for them in order to lift their spirits and help make their life just a little bit better.
• Organized a Benefit Concert consisting of two up and coming artists, a silent auction, merchandise sales and charity promotion events, raising close to $10,000 for the organization.
• Organized a canned food drive. All proceeds and donations went to the local homeless shelter.
• Participated in several fundraising events for the organization.
