Commercial Office Building, LEED Consulting & Energy Modeling
Thornton Tomasetti, partnered with Leif Hansen, performed an initial LEED feasibility study, and subsequently full LEED consulting and energy modeling for a new 22-story, 580,000 square foot commercial office building in downtown Tokyo. The project includes a vegetated roof, a curtain wall with integrated photovoltaics, a rainwater collection and re-use system, and a direct connection to a subway station. The project is on track to achieve LEED Gold certification. The eQuest Energy Model proved that energy savings of more than 25% compared to a baseline case can be realized by this building.
